Rally For Affordability

KXAN: Rally against lawsuit that could undo Austin code changes aimed at affordability.

Roughly 50 people gathered outside of the Travis County Civil and Family Courts facility Monday to protest a lawsuit that could result in the overturning of several Land Development Code (LDC) changes aimed at affordability.

The lawsuit is brought forward by the same group of homeowners — the Acuña plaintiffs — that filed, and won, a 2020 lawsuit which undid the first overhaul of the Land Development Code the city had done in more than three decades.

There’s a vocal and motivated minority who really don’t want more housing in Austin.

Aside

WordPress has a notion of an “aside” post, which is supposed to be like a tweet (remember tweets?). This is one.

Back to Basics

Twitter is dying. Mastodon hasn’t really clicked with me. I respect Micro.blog more than I enjoy it. There’s nothing to take Twitter’s place, so let’s to back to where it all began: blogging.
